The Neshaminy School District is looking to negotiate their Source4Teachers contract at its next board meeting on November 18.

Source4Teachers, a company based in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, provides substitute teachers as well as other related staffing services for the district, including instructional assistants, aides, clerical staff, custodians, food service staff and more.

At Wednesday night’s public work sessionย at Maple Point Middle School, an employee of the program said that he believes the substitutes of the district deserve a raise, an issue which will be spoken about when the board votes on the contract.

Currently, full day substitutes are paid $95.00 per day in Neshaminy schools. Once subs spend more than 20 days in the same assignment, they are paid $120.00 per day.

Within the proposed contract, Source4Teachersย ย has outlined that it may increase pay from the district in the event local, state or federal mandated healthcare benefits become applicable.

The district also outlines the role of long term substitutes and their proposed reimbursement to Source4Teachers for providing those subs with basic healthcare under the Affordable Care Act.
