The Detective Christopher Jones Foundation is seeking new members.
The foundation set up to remember the legacy of Middletown police detective Christopher Jones is looking for volunteers to help the nonprofit that has awarded more than $90,000 in scholarship and emergency relief funds to the community.

The group formed in 2010 following the 2009 death of Jones, who was struck by a vehicle while conducting a traffic stop on Route 1 just before the I-95 on-ramp. Jones, a 10-year Middletown officer, was promoted to detective after his death.
