From the college:

The training, which began in July, consisted of four days a week of class instruction and once-a-week visits to manufacturing facilities. The graduates are now prepared to take the National Institute of Metalworking Skills certification exam, and are qualified to be hired for well-paying manufacturing jobs. Many have secured jobs among the 19 companies that participated in the training.

The free training was funded by a Community Development Block Grant provided by the Bucks County Commissioners. The goal is to provide training to develop the necessary skills to pursue a successful career in our local manufacturing companies.

The 12 weeks of classes took place at the Advanced Manufacturing Training Center on George Patterson Boulevard in Bristol Township.

The next section of classes will start in January and again in April. While the program is free, students must first meet certain criteria to qualify, according to college officials.
