Torch Causes Saturday Blaze

A vacant house in the process of being renovated caught fire on Saturday.

The Bristol Township home, which is located in the 3000 block of Bath Road, caught fire due to the flame of a plumber’s torch, Fire Marshal Kevin Dippolito said.  The incident has been ruled an accident.

The blaze was contained to the wall, ceiling and attic of the home, the fire marshal explained.

The fire was reported around 1:20 p.m., and no one was injured.
