A motorist driving through Bristol Township’s Croydon section Friday evening had a medical emergency and crashed his vehicle.

The accident was the result of a “diabetic emergency,” according to Croydon Fire Company Chief Tom Tryon.

The chief said the driver’s sugar level dropped and he passed out while traveling on the 900 block of Hilary Ave around 8:30 p.m.

Witnesses on the scene told LevittownNow.com that the vehicle hit a telephone pole and careened on to the front lawn of a home on the block.

Tryon said there was no damage to the vehicle or surroundings as the fire crew assisted the Bucks County Rescue Squad. The fire company also provided lighting at the scene of the crash.
