The Croydon Fire Company is excited for the 100th anniversary of its existence, even though the true anniversary wont come until June of 2018.
A craft, vendor, and flea market was held at the station on Saturday, and was met with success, according to organizer Gina Bellerby.

“Today went well. Croydon is very good at supporting their fire department,” Bellerby said. “All of the money from the events is going to the 100th anniversary celebration”.
The final goal of the fund raising is a county parade and party in June of 2018, to celebrate the anniversary.
“Everyone that comes through is very generous,” said Bellerby.

The Croydon Fire Company 100th anniversary group has other events planned through October, including another flea market on October 4, Texas Roadhouse nights on October 14 and 16, where 10 percent of the total bill will get donated to the fund for the celebration.
