The project, expected to be completed on Friday, September 14, will begin next week with preparations occurring on Wednesday and Thursday and actual construction starting and ending on Friday at Snyder-Girotti Elementary School.

Groff announced during the meeting on Thursday that the Bristol Borough Council will be voting to waive the borough permit fees regarding the playground on Monday night. The waiving would save the school district nearly $4,000.00, according to Groff.

A member of the Borough school district PTA, Bethanne Olczak, was at the meeting speaking of the playground.

Olczak explained that everything that is to be painted at the playground will be painted by the kids who helped to dream up the playground.

โ€œIt’s going to be beautiful,โ€ said Groff of a prospective mural which will be painted.

In addition to the standard play equipment, other โ€œsideโ€ projects will be built on the day of construction, including planters, benches, and trashcans.

The project is being completed in accordance with Kaaboom, a โ€œnational non-profit dedicated to saving play for America’s children,โ€ according to the official Kaboom website.
