A Yardley man was arrested last week after he was found passed out and then fought with officers trying to arrest him, according to authorities.

Christopher Kirwan, 38, was found by Tullytown police on patrol slumped over in a black Mercedes at the Walmart parking lot last Friday morning around 2 a.m.

According to court papers, a patrol officer checked on Kirwan and discovered he had a can of “Industrial Strength Ultra Duster” in his hands. The can was reportedly facing the man’s face.
Police said in court documents that Kirwan appeared “dazed and confused” when an officer made contact.
Two more cans of air duster was discovered in the passenger seat of the vehicle, court papers say. Police said the partly empty cans appeared to have condensation on them and felt cold to the touch, which indicated they were recently used.

As Tullytown officers attempted to get Kirwan out of the Mercedes, the 38-year-old refused and demanded to know why police were bothering him, court papers say. Kirwan was also reported to stiffened his wrists in an attempt to resist arrest.
Police said they were eventually able to take Kirwan to the ground and into custody.

The 38-year-old is facing charges for another incident involving alleged huffing that happened in Tullytown in late July.
Kirwan was charged with several offenses including smell/inhale toxic releasing substances, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. He was arraigned and released on 10 percent of $5,000 bail.
