The man plunged about 45 feet and hit the ground on the New Jersey side of the bridge, Verna said.
The spokesperson said the man was rushed by ambulance to Cooper University Hospital in Camden and was pronounced dead.
The bridge was not closed but police stopped some lanes due to the incident.
