A story in Food Trade News says that Delhaize America is looking to sell 66 Bottom Dollar branded stores in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Ohio. The company operates a location in Bristol Township and another in Penndel.

According to the report, Wells Fargo Bank has provided interested parties necessary information on the stores.

Bids for the chain were due in by August 13. As of press time, Delhaize America has not commented on the Food Trade News report or any possible bidders.

The company owns the 18,000-square-foot store at the intersection of Edgely Road and Mill Creek Parkway in Bristol Township’s Levittown section. The Penndel store, which is on Bellevue Avenue, is leased.

The Levittown store opened in October too much fanfare. The location was the first grocery store to open in Bristol Township in several years, a town official told LevittownNow.com last year. The Penndel location previously housed several grocery stories before sitting vacant before Bottom Dollar took over the space.
