PECO Working to Restore Power After Daytime Outage

PECO crews were busy in Middletown Tuesday afternoon as they worked to restore electric service to 40 customers who had been in the dark in 8:30 a.m.

pecologoPECO spokesperson Liz Williamson said the outage is impacting the Meadowview and Hilltop court neighborhoods. The issue has been traced to an underground power line, the spokesperson said.

Crews from the utility company responded to the scene and were working as of 4:15 p.m. to install a temporary cable until a permanent fix can be made, Williamson said.

Residents in the area are expected to have their power service back by early Tuesday evening.
