The greatly improved, recently released version of the Middletown Township website was unveiled publicly at the board of supervisors meeting on Monday night.
One of the most immediately noticeable parts of the new website is the scrolling photo gallery that sits on the homepage of the website.

According to the township manager Stephanie Teoli Kuhls, the website is โorganized so folks can get where they need to go very quickly.โ The website assists in this by having a number of large buttons, each representing a commonly used site function such as maps and police links, right on the front page of the site.
Other features of the website include local weather links, department and board sections complete with profiles of the members of various boards, and a request section. Users can use the request section to make specific requests including problems that need solving, explained Teoli Kuhls during the meeting.
The renovated website is useful for local businesses as well. The newly renovated website features a business directory, where local business are listed. Users just search a category, an example given during the meeting by Teoli Kuhls was โautomotive,โ and a list of all of the local businesses in that field will appear, with links to websites and phone numbers.

In order to get a business on the directory, all the business owner has to do is complete on online form, found in the business directory, according to Teoli Kuhls.
The township also has created and is promoting it’s twitter page, which will contain information ranging โfrom a road closure to meetings being held,โ said Teoli Kuhls.

The meeting was the first true unveil regarding the website, so no feedback has reached Kuhls yet.
โThis is something that has been sorely needed,โ said Chairman Pat Mallon of the website’s renovation.
The website was described by Teoli Kuhls as an attempt to establish a link to the community.
