UPDATE: 2 Hurt in Mill Creek Parkway Crash

Two people were transported to the hospital following the crash on Mill Creek Parkway, near Oaktree Drive in Bristol Township, officials said. One of the injured was in critical condition at St. Mary Medical Center.

Residents in Levittown said the road was closed for hours after the crash.

Levittown Fire Co. No. 2 Chief Ralph Gumbert said the woman that was most seriously injured had to be freed by firefighters from the Edgely, Fairless Hills and Levittown Fire No. 2 fire companies. The woman is reported to be the wife of a Levittown volunteer firefighter.

No word as of press time on what caused the crash.

Police, firefighters and medics were called to Mill Creek Parkway in Bristol Township’s Levittown section for a serious car accident around 4 p.m.

Little details are known as of press time, but photos from the scene show airbags deployed in a  Toyota Prius and a pickup truck. The crash happened near Oaktree Drive.

Witnesses reported both vehicles were heavily damaged. They also told LevittownNow.com southbound lanes were closed while police investigated.

A fire official said there were at least two people injured. The extent of their injuries was not known as of press time.
