Two men are behind bars in county lockup after they were charged with various drug-related offenses and criminal use of a communication facility.
According to court records, John French Jr., 54, and David Goodbred, 26, both of Bristol Township, were arraigned late this week following a drug investigation by narcotics officers from Newtown Township and the Bucks County Detectives.

According to Newtown police, investigators learned in June that French was involved in the sale of Oxycodone pills in Bucks County.
Using an informant, police arraigned several drug buys with French. One took place on Blue Ridge Drive in Levittown and the others outside a Bristol Township car wash, according to court papers.
Goodbred is accused of showing up a few minutes into a drug buy on Wednesday and providing French with 20 Oxycodone pills in exchange for several hundred dollars the informant had just paid, court papers say.

Police said they arrested the two alleged drug dealers shortly after the Wednesday buy. Goodbred, according to court papers, admitted to having drugs in his cars and said he planned to deliver them to other people.
French was sent to prison on 10 percent of $100,000 and Goodbred is locked up on 10 of $75,000.
