Penndel Councilwoman Debbie Gentile announced recently that she will step down from her post at the end of August.
The councilwoman has served about eight years on the council and lived in the borough for 32 years.

Gentile cited her aging mother’s health and her sons moving out as the main reason for her departure. In the coming months, Gentile will move from her family home in Penndel to Middletown.
“It’s a new season of life and you have to do what you have to do,” she said at the council meeting.
Gentile said she plans to keep a low profile once she moves to Middletown. She also said she has tried to do the best for Penndel during her time in elected office.
