Bristol Borough police reported recently that the Lower Bucks Senior Center located on Wilson Street had money stolen from it.
The theft, according to Borough Police Chief Arnold Porter, was of $434. The funds were ย removed from a drawer and purse in the office area, Porter said.ย

The center, which ย provides services to local seniors, also raises its own funds by providing a catering hall to rent for events along with bingo nights as a way of supporting itself.
A source with knowledge of the investigation said the money stolen was payment for a event held at the center on Sunday. Borough authorities would not confirm or deny that.
“Anyone that does this to a center that supports and helps our seniors is despicable,” Mayor Pat Sabatini said.

A disgusted Sabatini asked aloud, “what kind of person does this?”
As of late last week borough police were still investigating the theft, authorities told LevittownNow.com. Officials wouldn’t elaborate if they had any suspects or persons of interest.
