Some Middletown Residents Asked to Conserve Water

The pipeline problem that caused problems for some water customers in Middletown continues.

Officials from the Newtown Artesian Water Company, which serves residents in northern Middletown, said they are asking residents of Newtown and northern Middletown to conserve water through Wednesday. A statement said the issue has caused the company to lose 50 percent of their water supply.

“We ask that you conserve water and refrain from the use of unnecessary water such as lawn watering, car washing and the filling of swimming pools,” a statement read.

It is unclear how many people are impacted by the problem.
