A man with a debilitating disability was hurt in a home invasion-style robbery late Monday night.

According to Falls Township police, the 51-year-old wheelchair-bound male victim was inside his apartment in the 2300 building of the Village of Pennbrook Apartments on Mill Creek Road when the door suddenly burst open around 11 p.m.

The suspect demanded money and medication from the man before hitting him with a brass knuckles attached to his fist, police said.
The suspect made off with an empty prescription bottle and the disabled man’s cell phone, police said.
The suspect is described by police as being a white male in his 20s, standing 5-foot-0 to 6-feet-tall, with medium build; he wore a black baseball cap, black jeans and a black T-shirt with a gray-colored logo on the front.

The disabled man was transported to Aria Hospital in Falls and received stitches to close a head wound.
Police told LevittownNow.com there does not appear to be a connection between the Falls home invasion and an apparent home invasion that turned deadly a few hours later in Bristol Township.
