PennDOT officials announced on Monday that part of Old Route 13 in Falls Township will be closed starting Tuesday morning.
The roadway will be closed between Penn Valley and Mill Creek roads until July 18, a PennDOT statement said.

The repair work is so crews can replace two deteriorated drainage pipes under the roadway. The two pipes have separated and caused a depression on the road surface to form, PennDOT said.
Old Route 13 through traffic will be detoured over Penn Valley Road, Route 13 and Mill Creek Road during the work. Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone.
General contractor James D. Morrissey Inc. of Philadelphia will complete the repairs.
