Police were called around 1 a.m. and arrived to find a stab wound on the man’s shoulder, a cut on his chest and a blood-stained T-shirt on the couch in the apartment.

Patrone told police she did stab the man but only in self defense, court papers say.

The man reportedly told police Patrone put the knife in the kitchen sink after the attack.

The Bucks County Rescue Squad transported the man to Aria Hospital’s Torresdale campus for treatment. Acting Bristol Township Police Chief John Godzieba said Wednesday afternoon that the stabbing victim’s condition was currently unknown.

Police officers did secure the knife at the apartment.
