According to LBCJMA Director Vijay Rajput, water tests have all come back ” well within acceptable limits.”

Chlorine, which kills bacteria that can get in the water supply, is used to treat the water before it reaches customers. Rajput said there is no indication the levels are above usual amounts. Since Monday, LBCJMA crews have performed more than 30 tests throughout the service area and found no irregularities.

The LBCJMA puts in less than one part per million of chlorine, while the maximum amount allowed is 4 parts per million, Rajput said, adding that the amount has been scaled back even further following the complaints.

LBCJMA officials have been receiving calls on the issue from customers since Monday.

Rajput said LBCJMA workers will continue to monitor the situation.
