Mosquito Spraying to Take Place in Croydon

Officials from the county and state will be spraying a chemical in the Croydon section of Bristol Township Thursday afternoon to cut down on the amount of mosquitoes.

Starting at dusk and depending on the weather, two trucks will apply the Clarke Mosquito Company’s Duet chemical. The trucks will spray an area that contains all streets, roads and avenues east of Route 13 from the Neshaminy State Park – including the marina area – and then north to Elm Avenue.

According to a county press release:

The spray will be conducted using a lead vehicle: a Ford Ranger pickup; and a spray truck: a Chevrolet pickup. Both vehicles bear County of Bucks identification on the vehicle side doors.

Crews will apply the chemical at the rate of about an ounce per acre.
