A New Jersey man accused of soliciting sex acts from what he thought was an underage girl was extradited to Bucks County Friday afternoon.

Adam Carnevale, 27, of Lawrenceville, N.J., was arraigned on charges of unlawful contact with minor, statutory sexual assault, promoting prostitution of a minor, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse on a person less than 16 years of age and related offenses. District Judge Jan Vislosky set bail for the 27-year-old at 10 percent of $1 million.

Carnevale was apprehended earlier this month by Falls Township and Lawrence, N.J. police in Hamilton, N.J. and sent to jail in New Jersey while awaiting his trip back to Pennsylvania.
The investigation into Carnevale was launched by Falls police in January after a woman came forward and said the 27-year-old asked her to find him a 14- to 16-year-old girl to have sex with.
The woman, whose age has not been released by authorities, said she had sexual encounters with Carnevale twice – once in Morrisville and once in New Jersey – and received money for performing sex acts on him, court papers say.

Text messages from December show the woman was texting Carnevale and he made the request to perform sex acts on her cousin or a young girl, according to court records. The court papers also says that he wanted someone 14 to 16 years old and was willing to offer her more money as an incentive to find younger girls.
In January, the woman contacted Carnevale while working with police and said she had a 15-year-old for him, court papers say.

Carnevale kept asking about the girl and wanted to see photographs, even topless ones, police said.
Investigators set up a fake Facebook for the made up 15-year-old girl and Carnevale asked to meet with the girl, court papers say.
“On numerous occasions the defendant requested additional photographs, including ‘topless’ photographs, of the fictitious female and begins to barter for sexual acts done to him,” an arrest warrant filed by Falls police reads.

Police said that during the last few years Carnevale said he solicited nude photographs from underage girls as well as engaged in sexual activity with them in both Bucks County and in New Jersey.
Falls police asked earlier this month that any one with information regarding Carnevale or those who have been victimized or solicited by the 27-year-old to contact Detective Stephen Reeves at 215-302-3305 or via email at reevespd@fallstwp.com.
