A former employee at Neshaminy’s Maple Point Middle School in Middletown will have his case moved to Doylestown for trial following a preliminary hearing before Judge John Kelly Tuesday.

Robert Gimello, 25, of Middletown, had charges including unlawful contact with minors, criminal use of a communication facility, harassment, dissemination of explicit sexual material to a minor and open lewdness forwarded by the judge. Gimello is currently free on bail.

A group of girls, between the ages of 13 and 14 years old, were inside a screening of “Thor 2″ at the United Artists Theater near the Oxford Valley Mall when Gimello allegedly angled his phone so they could see the screen in November. On the phone screen, he “continually” displayed pictures of a penis, authorities said. Gimello was reported to be sitting in front of the girls.during the screening.
“The victims stated Gimello would angle his phone in such a way to allow them to see the pictures of the penis and he would continually look at them to make eye contact,” court papers filed say.
The girls went to the ladies room to get away from the uncomfortable situation, police said. As they went to leave, they spotted the 25-year-old standing nearby the exit, authorities reported.

Gimello left the theater and was stopped by police shortly after at a eatery and bar. The 25-year-old then admitted to having pictures of a penis on his cell phone, police said.
Gimello worked as a custodian in the Neshaminy School District for about four years before being fired recently.

Assistant District Attorney Chelsey Crocker told LevittownNow.com in April that Gimello allegedly exposed his genitals to a female at Bucks County Community College in Newtown on two occasions in fall. He has been charged and is awaiting trial in that case.
