Pennsylvania designates two days in which anyone – commonwealth residents or non-residents- can fish the waters WITH NO FISHING LICENSE REQUIRED on all Pennsylvania waterways.
The first of those two days is Memorial Day Monday, May 24 with the second being Independence Day, Friday July 4, state officials said.

The Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission Fish- for- Free Days is a program that was first established in 1984, State Rep. John Galloway (D-Bucks) said.
The commission encourages those new to fishing to experience a day of fishing without requiring the expense of purchasing a license, according to state officials.
