
Pennsylvania designates two days in which anyone – commonwealth residents or non-residents- can fish the watersย WITH NO FISHING LICENSE REQUIREDย on all Pennsylvania waterways.ย
The first of those two days is Memorial Day Monday, May 24 ย with the second being Independence Day, Friday July 4, state officials said.

The Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commissionย ย Fish- for- Free Days is a program that was first established in 1984, State Rep. John Galloway (D-Bucks) said.
The commission encourages those new to fishingย ย to experience a day of fishing without requiring the expense of purchasing a license, according to state officials.ย

If you want to purchase a fishing license for other days, they are available through theย Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission website.
