The Falls Township Police Department’s 10-week Citizen Police Academy class finished recently and the participants were honored by the Board of Supervisors recently.
Here’s how the police department decried the Citizen Police Academy earlier this year:
This program is designed to educate Township residents about department procedures, responsibilities and demands on police officers. Some of the topics that will be covered include; an overview of the department’s structure, recruitment and training, interview techniques, a visit to the (911) county radio room, traffic enforcement, and also observe court hearings at the local District Justice. In addition, participants will be given an opportunity to “ride along” with a patrol officer.
