
A man sitting in the center island of Bristol Commerce Center with a sign asking for money last weekend was taken into custody by authorities after he fled the scene when Bristol Borough Police tried to question him.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, borough authorities were called by a concerned citizen whenย Roger Greeson, 29 of Pottstown and a white female were seen “ingesting code 18,” which is a narcotics related, around 3:30 p.m on May 10.

Upon arrival on the scene, ย Patrolman William Davis wrote in court paperd he observed Greeson sitting in the center island of the parking lot holding a sign “asking for money.”
Greeson during questioning by Davis fled and a short foot pursuit ย ensued ย where Davis was joined by Patrolman Dean Johnson, according to court records. During the pursuit, officers wrote in court documents, the suspect threw an object away which was not recovered. Davis and Johnson had to take Greeson to the ground before placing him into custody.
Greeson, according to court documents, struggled with Johnson, while Davis held his dog before he was placed into custody.

Greeson was charged with two misdemeanor offenses of resisting arrest and disorderly conduct and was sent to Bucks County Jail on 10 percent of $10,000. Subsequently a bail reduction was ย requested approved , according to online court documents, on May 13 to released on own recognizance.
Greeson is scheduled to appear in Bristol Borough District Court on June 4 to answer charges.
