According to police, Moyer pointed a gun at a young woman and carjacked her outside the Hamilton Park Apartments in Middletown Township just hours into the new year.
Moyer walked up to the victim’s car as she tried to exit the Veteran’s Highway (Route 413) apartment complex after she dropped off two co-workers following their overnight shifts at a local diner.
After carjacking the woman at gunpoint, Moyer gave her directions and she followed them for roughly five minutes. The two ended up in the Snowball Gate section of Levittown. From there, Moyer took $200 cash, a cell phone and told the young woman to get out of her 2013 Toyota Camry. He then drove off in her car, police said.

The woman said she banged on the doors of a few homes to try to get help and eventually walked nearly two miles to the Great American Diner at the intersection of Veterans and Lincoln highways. Police responded to the diner and the investigation began.
Philadelphia police recovered the Toyota two days after it was taken. The car reportedly has serious interior damage.
