There’s an environmentally responsible way to dispose of materials coming to Bristol Township this Saturday.

The second annual Harry S. Truman High School Recycling Day is taking place from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. in the parking lot of the Green Lane school.

Residents may bring up to 25 gallons or 220 pounds of material to the collection event.

Here’s what will collected at the event:

  • Paper products
  • Clothes and shoes
  • Electronics – old computer systems, any size TVs, small appliances, rechargeable batteries, radios, cameras and related items

From Bucks County:

The intent of the program is to provide an environmentally responsible way to dispose of hazardous materials and to provide residents with information on how to produce less hazardous waste in the future. For example: when purchasing products that may be hazardous, only buy enough material for the intended purpose, or be sure, as a DIY auto mechanic, that you regularly take your used motor oil to auto service centers that are willing to accept it.
