The two Democratic candidates vying to to take on Congressman Mike Fitzpatrick in November will face of against each other in a debate and a take part in candidate forum in April.
Candidates Shaughnessy Naughton and Kevin Strouse are scheduled to meet at noon April 15 for 75 minutes of debate on domestic, economic and foreign policy issues. The event, organized by Bucks County Community College faculty, a release from the college said.

The candidates will discuss issues facing residents of the 8th district, which is comprised of Bucks County and portions of Montgomery County.
The debate will get started at 12:15 p.m. and is expected to last until 1:30 p.m. It will take place at the Lower Bucks Campus in the Student Commons, which can accommodate up to 180 people. No tickets are required. Overflow crowds may be accommodated in a nearby classroom with a closed-circuit TV monitor, the release said.

Science instructor William Pezza will moderate the debate. After the candidates’ opening statements, he’ll pose six questions ranging from economic issues to social issues to foreign policy. Each candidate will also have the opportunity to make a closing statement.

The second event is a forum is being hosted by Lin-Park Civic Association and NAACP Bucks County Branch at Linconia Tabernacle Christian Center in Trevose on Monday April 14 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
