Whalen was slammed last week with approximately $4,000 in fines in a plea agreement made in Bristol Borough District Court.

A call by the woman simply known as “Lydia” to LevittownNow.com and then borough officials in January culminated in the guilty plea by Whalen in district court last week.

As Borough Code Enforcement officer John Miller repeatedly said, “if we don’t know, we can’t help or do anything.”
In this case, where tenants were displaced while temperatures plummeted, the borough acted swiftly because officials did know.
