Crime Scene Unit in Neighborhood for ‘Death Investigation’

UPDATE: Cops: Son Bludgeoned Beloved Father to Death

A light breeze ruffled the American flag outside the well-kept, blue house at 1005 Winder Drive in Bristol Township Monday afternoon. The serene scene was disturbed as detectives were engaged  in a “death investigation,” a department spokesman said.

Neighbors said police officers and detectives had been in and out of the home throughout the day. As of 3 p.m., detectives continued their work as an officer in uniform stood outside the front door; neighbors milled around outside trying to figure out the purpose of the police presence.

Details on the investigation were sketchy as of press time, but Lt. Terry Hughes said more information would be released Tuesday.

A neighbor said a longtime resident of the Winder Village section lives in the home and the man’s son often stays there.
