Ralph Waldo Emerson Elementary School on Millcreek Road in Bristol Township’s Levittown section was in the dark Thursday afternoon.

A downed tree limb fell and came to rest on a power line connected to the school. According to the Bristol Township School District, electricity to the building was knocked out and students were moved to the Ben Franklin School, which serves as the administration building for the district and is only a short walk away.

Power was restored to the school by the end of the day and classes will resume on Friday.
