A couple is accused of stealing from Home Depot and hiding the items in a child’s stroller.
A 24-year-old woman and a 27-year-old man, both of Philadelphia, were spotted by a loss prevention officer at Home Depot in Fairless Hills Saturday morning selecting merchandise and placing it in their cart. Then, the loss prevention officer watched the woman place items in a large black bag, which she then put in the bottom cargo area of a child’s stroller, police said.

The couple separated and the loss prevention officer stopped the woman as she left the store without paying for the items, police said. Authorities added the man walked out and was captured when he returned to the store.
According to police, the woman was found to have $305 worth of miscellaneous tools and a washing machine valve in her black bag.
The couple was processed and released. Police plan to charge the two with retail theft and conspiracy.
