A Bristol Township man was found shortly after he escaped authorities in Bensalem on Wednesday.
Ishmael Burk, 23, of the Bristol Township’s Levittown section, was reportedly in the District Court of Judge Leonard Brown on Byberry Road when he escaped authorities around 10:15 a.m. when he got away.

Bensalem police swarmed the area and found Burk not too far away shortly before 11 a.m., according to scanner reports.
Police said Bensalem High School, which is not too far from the court, was placed on “inspector mode” and there was no danger to anyone.

No word from police on whether Burk was handcuffed at the time of his escape.

Burk was reported by sources to be in court on traffic violations. Court records show he has a lengthy record of alleged traffic violations.
A source reported Burk was examined by medics shortly following his capture.

At 3:30 p.m., Burk was arraigned before Brown on charges of escape, reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct. He was then successfully transported to Bucks County jail on 10 percent of $125,000.
