Just before the Powerball jackpot rolled to $400 million, a winning ticket worth $1 million was sold at the Giant Food Store by the Newtown Bypass in Middletown.

The winning ticket correctly matched all five white balls – 02-09-14-21-23 – but not the red Powerball 03. The drawing was Saturday night.

The food store will receive a $5,000 bonus for selling a winning ticket.

Lottery officials said they are not able to confirm a winner until prize is claimed and the ticket is validated. Winners of the Powerball have one year from the drawing date to claim their prize.

The holder of the winning ticket should promptly sign the back of the ticket, call the Lottery at 717-702-8146 and file a claim at any of Lottery’s seven area offices or at Lottery headquarters in Middletown, Dauphin County.

The next Powerball drawing will be Wednesday night.

The Pennsylvania Lottery awarded a total of more than $122.1 million in prizes to winners across Bucks County last year.
