Croydon Families Displaced & Dwelling Fire Engulfs Home in Two Overnight Blazes

First Responders Fight a Blaze on Pensive Lane in Falls Twp.

Two fires on the overnight kept local fire crews busy Saturday night into early Sunday morning and displaced up to 10 families.

Fire crews were on scene in Falls Township on the 30 block of Pensive Lane fighting a blaze at a one story dwelling around 4:45 a.m.

From the images provided from the scene and witness accounts, the fire ripped through the roof of the residence.

Details are scarce at press time, however, no injuries have were ย reported as of 7 a.m.

Prior to the Falls Township fire, emergency responders were on scene at the Croydon Station Apartments on the 900 block of Route 13 a little after 11 p.m Saturday night. A fire at the apartments displaced up to 10 families.

According to witnesses on scene and fire sources, the fire was running up the wall of the three-story building beginning on the first floor.

No injuries were reported as of press time and were still awaiting official word from fire officials on scene.

Officials shut off electrical power in buildings as they cleared the scene, which was later restored, according to witnesses on the scene.

According to accounts on social media, building B was where the fire ignited causing what was described as very causing smoke conditions on all three floors of the building.

The blaze was knocked down quickly, however, according to the Croydon Town Watch ย Facebook page, approximately 10 family’s were displaced by the fire and receiving supportive and temporary services from the community based non- profit.
