The investigation into a January crash in Tullytown that left one teen dead and another injured is continuing.

A vehicle traveling on Route 13 in the borough struck and killed Zachary Gonzalez, 15, of Levittown, while he was on his bike on the afternoon of January 21. One of two friends with him was also hit and seriously hurt. That boy has been released from the hospital and is recovering.

Police Chief Daniel Doyle said the investigation into the crash is continuing with the assistance of the District Attorney’s accident investigators and should be completed in March. At that time, a determination as to whether to file any criminal charges will be made.

A photograph taken by Alex Lloyd Gross showed the reported striking vehicle with damage to the driver-side windshield. The driver of the striking vehicle stopped and was cooperating with investigators, police said at the time of the crash.

The death of Gonzalez, a Pennsbury High School wrestler, shocked the community.
