The “monster” weekend snow storm hyped on social media several weeks ago is “nonsense,” according to the National Weather Service.
Instead of the several feet of snow some on social media talked about after seeing initial models for this wekend, forecasters are only expecting 1 to 2 inches in Lower Bucks County. The snow is expected to fall between Saturday and Sunday night. Forecasters say it is part of several weak weather systems to move through the area.

While the snow is not predicted to be much, it comes as thousands are still without power following an early-week snow storm followed by a strong ice storm.
“Given what we’ve just gone through, when someone shops around a scary image of an incredible amount of snow for a storm way too far out in time – JUST SAY NO!” a storm briefing prepared by the National Weather Service said.

Temperatures throughout the weekend are expected to remain around or below freezing.
The National Weather Service said there is a chance for another storm in the coming week.
