A man who said he was traveling from Florida to New York was busted by state troopers with three pounds of marijuana in his SUV, according to court papers.
Wilfredo Rojo-Roca, 57, of Bronx, N.Y., was charged Thursday morning with drug possession with intent to deliver and possession of a controlled substance. He was arraigned before a district judge and sent to county jail on 10 percent of $75,000 bail.

A state trooper was on patrol when he spotted Rojo-Roca’s Chevrolet Trailerblazer stop and reverse in the area of the Oxford Valley exit on Route 1 in Middletown Township around 10:15 a.m. The trooper pulled over the 57-year-old and gave him a warning, court papers say.
Before Rojo-Roca’s left, he told the state trooper he was traveling from Florida to New York and did not have anything illegal in his car, police said. He reportedly gave the trooper permission to search the SUV.
Police removed a toolbox and found two plastic shopping bags filled with three pounds of suspected marijuana in a compartment in three vacuum sealed bags, court papers say.

Rojo-Roca is scheduled for a preliminary hearing next Thursday at 9:30 a.m. before District Judge John Kelly.
