Exxon Robbed Twice in Less than 12 Hours

In a little under 12 hours, the mini-mart at the Exxon gas station on the corner of Bristol-Oxford Valley and New Falls roads in Bristol Township was robbed at gunpoint.

The first robbery happened at 7:55 p.m. Sunday evening when a man walked in, displayed a handgun and demanded money. The suspect made off with an undetermined amount of cash, police said.

Lt. Terry Hughes said a K-9 unit from Middletown was called in but was unable to track the suspect. Residents of Levittown’s Indian Creek section said police searching the neighborhood following the robbery.

The suspect in that robbery is was described by police as roughly 6-foot-tall and was wearing a green sweatshirt and jacket. His face was covered. 

At 6:51 a.m. Monday morning, two men armed came into store moments after a customer left and robbed the clerk of $60.

One of the men carried a shotgun and the other a handgun, Hughes said.

The first suspect was 5-foot-8 inches tall, of heavy build with broad shoulders. He was spotted wearing a black hoodie, dark pants and a bandana, police said.

Suspect number two was slightly shorter than the first suspect. Hughes described the man as wearing a black hoodie, black pants and a bandana.

Police do not believe the two robberies are connected at this point.

No one was hurt in either robbery.

“At that time in the morning, somebody might have seen something,” Hughes said, calling on witnesses to speak with detectives.

The lieutenant urged anyone who may have information on either of the robberies to call the department’s anonymous tip line at 215-788-8289.
