Middletown and Pennsylvania SPCA police officers investigated reports of dogs that were left in the cold outside a house in Levittown.

According to information posted on the Bucks County SPCA’s official social media accounts, the officials found the dogs at the Levittown address on Tuesday “all in good condition and that they were being cared for in accordance with the standards set forth by the PA Animal Cruelty Laws.”

Authorities responded to the Terrace Road home and “made it their first priority today to investigate the situation,” according to the SPCA and a police source.

Local residents on social media posted concerns the dogs may die overnight due to the cold weather. From there, several people became involved in efforts to make sure the dogs were safe.

There were unconfirmed reports late Tuesday night that the dogs were brought inside.

The law enforcement source told LevittownNow.com an anonymous caller reported the house several times throughout the day to police dispatch.
