State Rep. John Galloway (D -Bucks) told LevittownNow.com exclusively Thursday afternoon that he will not be running for the office of lieutenant governor as he previously hinted toward.
Galloway did say he will be running to retain his seat in the state house, explaining his reasoning for the decision as “geographic” more so than anything else.

“First, I am proud to say I will be supporting Congresswomen Allison Schwartz in her bid to become Governor,” he said. Further explaining that if he were to run for the second in command of the state, it would create a geographical imbalance for the ticket. “We need to have geographic balance on the ticket, history says in order to win,” he said.
Galloway, who is seeking a re-election to a fourth term as State Representative for the 140th district, said he’s proud of his accomplishments up to this point; namely unemployment for his district is down, funding for work to be done on the Levittown train station, the work being done on Rt 13 among them.
“The ultimate goal is to unseat Governor Corbett,” Galloway said.

In July, Politics PA reported Galloway was considering a run for the lieutenant governor slot due to the lack of moderate candidates vying for the spot, as the Bucks county based representative presents himself to be.
Galloway said he is committed to helping the party overthrow the Corbett administration because of its poor performance in helping the commonwealth get back on the right track.
