Technology made Christmas a little better for one Levittown family.

Crystal Capaldi-Schaefer and her children Tyler and Seana were able to connect with their military father for Christmas using Skype.

The young family, lead by U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Sean Schaefer, moved into their Thornridge section home in August and Sean was deployed overseas on October 1. Crystal said due to Sean’s mission, she is not able to disclose where he is currently stationed.

The two youngest Schaefers were able to communicate with their father leading up to Christmas.

“Seana is daddy’s little girl, and she says all the time she just wants to give him a hug and kiss,” Crystal said.

“It’s been hard for me,” Crystal said about Sean’s deployment.

The family also used Skype to talk with Sean on Thanksgiving.

While holidays may be hard for those deployed and their families, technology can help make the world a little smaller.
