A Christmas Eve fire in Bristol Township’s Levittown section sent one person to the hospital and a home unlivable
Fire crews were dispatched to the 50 block of Strawberry lane around 6:40 p.m. for a dwelling fire. Units arrived and were able to put the blaze, which started due to an unattended candle in a bathroom, under control in about 20 minutes, Bristol Township Fire Marshal Kevin Dippolito said.

A female resident was taken by ambulance to St. Mary Medical Center in Middletown to be treated for minor burns, Dippolito told LevittownNow.com.
The Levitt-built house suffered heavy damage throughout and is currently uninhabitable, Dippolito said.
Edgely Fire Chief Carl Pierce said he was pleased there were no serious injuries and was amazed at the effort of all the first responders who showed up to fight the blaze on Christmas eve.

The fire marshal said the family was alone at the time and did not have guests over for a holiday party.Unconfirmed scanner reports indicated that fire arriving firefighters have issues getting to fire hydrants on the street due to parked cars blocking them.
Levittown No. 1, Levittown No.2, Third District, Tullytown, Croydon, Newportville, Falls and Morrisville fire companies responded to the fire, officials said.
