Women in leadership positions have come out for 8th District Congressional candidate Kevin Strouse over the last ย several weeks, and on Monday the county, state, and local leaders trifecta ย was completed.

Pennsbury School Board President Jacqui Redner endorsed Strouse in his bid to ย unseat Congressman Mike Fitzpatrick in Pennsylvania’s 8th district.

“As a husband and a father raising two young children in Bucks County, Kevin will work to improve the quality of education for our students from early childhood all the way through college–by investing in our schools and making college more affordable,” Redner said in a release from the campaign.

It’s the third notable Bucks County-based Democratic woman over the last month to publicly support Strouse’s run for Congress.

Earlier this month, State Rep. Tina Davis endorsed Strouse and in early November and Bucks County Commissioner Diane Marseglia announced her support for the former CIA agent also.

Redner elaborated on her reasons for the ย endorsement Monday evening by phone from her home in Falls Township.

“As a husband and a father raising two young children in Bucks County, Kevin will work to improve the quality of education for our students from early childhood all the way through college–by investing in our schools and making college more affordable…ย “I endorse Kevin Strouse ย for Congress because he is focused on education and economic growth, and will fight for a brighter future for our children.”

Davis and Marseglia, more established in their own rights, ย focused on congressional gridlock and problem solving skills as significant factors in why they are supporting Strouse.

โ€œKevin is a fighter. I endorse Kevin Strouse for Congress because he will cut through the gridlock in Washington to create jobs and grow the middle class,โ€ Davis said.

“Kevin Strouseโ€™s common sense message of problem solving over politics is resonating with the working families, women and seniors in Bucks County,” Marseglia offered.

With Monday Night ย Football in the background while Redner was preparing for her family’s Christmas festivities, she told LevittownNow.com it made perfect sense to her why Lower Bucks based women luminaries are supporting Strouse.

“In talking with Kevin, he has shown that he understands, and respects a woman’s role in setting policies for our community. Kevin’s background of service to his country, combined with his dedication to his wife and young children make him someone who will have the same priorities for the community that I do,” she said.

The strong showing locally for Strouse, according to Politics PA, is welcomed sight for his campaign since his strongest support has come from the Washington D.C ย political machine.

Marseglia, the highest ranking democratic elected official in the county, was the first of the trifecta of women leaders to endorse Strouse.

Redner’s tenure as school board president, now just beginning, is no stranger in local political circles and has garnered attention ย increasingly as she led a ย group of local organizations in recognizing a local boy for his ย efforts in warning residents ย of a major fire at an apartment complex in Middletown in July.

Redner says she believes Strouse “will fight for a brighter future for our children.”

Each of the women endorsers have said voters in Pennsylvania’s ย 8th District deserve change in light of ย the recent government shutdown.

Before getting to take on Fitzpatrick, Strouse will have to beat Democratic congressional candidateย Shaughnessy Naughton in the May primary who has received endorsements of late but none to date from elected officials in the area.
