Come Saturday night, forecasters predict Levittown and the surrounding area will be blanketed with several inches of snow for the third time in seven days.

The National Weather Service’s Mount Holly office issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Bucks County from 7 a.m. Saturday until 5 a.m. Sunday. The storm is expected to start mid-morning Saturday and be wrapped up by daybreak Sunday, a forecast said.

The storm could also bring some sleet and freezing rain with it as temperatures hover around freezing.

“Though PennDOT crews will aggressively treat roadways throughout the storm, motorists should expect that roadways will not be completely free from snow and ice, particularly with some forecasts calling for snowfall rates of 1 inch or greater per hour at times. PennDOT recommends suspending unnecessary travel until after the storm has passed,” a statement from PennDOT said.

The snow storm on Tuesday caused traffic nightmares and had a similar start time.

Sunday’s weather is expected to bring wind and colder temperatures.
