A homeless man is in county jail on charges he stole from his family.
Raymond Schilling, 23, was arrested and charged on Friday with theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, unauthorized used of a motor vehicle and driving on a suspended licence. He was arraigned before District Judge Joanne V. Kline on 10 percent of $20,000.

Schilling is accused of taking several items from his family and pawning them at a New Falls Road shop. He also took his grandfather’s pickup truck and drove it on a suspended license recently, Bristol Township police said.
Police were advised of the thefts recently and launched an investigation. During the course of the probe, it was discovered Schilling was driving his grandfather’s 2005 Dodge Ram despite his grandfather’s request for him not to use it, according to court documents. Schilling was contacted by an officer and he said he would return the truck later in the day, police said.
The investigating officer checked at JR’s Check Cashing on New Falls Road and discovered Schilling had pawned a Tree of Life gold necklace he stole from his grandmother and also an electric fishing reel he took from his father, police said. Both items were pawned for about $115.

It was later discovered, according to police, a Yuengling clock worth $60 was also stolen from his father and pawned.
