Amid some controversy, the Pennsbury School Board reorganized Monday night.

The board voted, although not unanimously, to make Jacqui Redner the president. Incoming board member Allison Smith was appointed vice president.

The other big news out of the meeting was the board picking law firm Rudolph Clarke to be the new solicitor. The law firm, who is also used by Falls Township, will charge the district $140 per hour for work done by its lawyers, officials said. The previous firm,  Fox Rothschild, charged $185 an hour for work done by lawyers or any other staff.

Board members Chris Cridge and Dr. Stephen Kosmorsky voted against hiring Rudolph Clarke. The two board members told the Bucks County Courier Times last week they were excluded from interviews conducted by  board members Redner, Palmer and Gary Sanderson. Redner said the two were left out of the meeting by mistake.

Board member Josh Waldorf was appointed to be the secretary for the board.
