Neshaminy Board Gets New President, Vice President

Prior to the shocking news that long-time board leader Ritchie Webb was stepping down, the Neshaminy School Board reorganized.

After three rounds of voting and a close race between Irene Boyle and Scott Congdon, Congdon was voted the new president of the nine-member school board. Boyle was elected minutes later as the vice president.

Levittown resident Mike Morris began another term on the board. He ran unopposed in the general election.

Middletown resident Ron Rudy took his seat on the school board. Rudy won the election to take the seat of former board member Bill Ottinger in November. Rudy ran unopposed in the election. Ottinger did not run for reelection for the school board and won a seat on the Middletown Board of Supervisors.

The board voted Tuesday night to keep Langhorne-based Begley Carlin & Mandio law firm as board solicitors.

As Webb steps down at the end of the month, Neshaminy will be looking for applicants for his replacement for Region 2. Interested residents should contact the school district.
